Carly Rae Jepsen was born on the 21st of November, 1985 in Mission British Columbia Canada. Her first musical experience began from a very young age, at the age of seven, and by the time she was in high school she was already performing at local talent shows. She attended an institution called the Canadian College of Performing Arts which is located which is located in Victoria, British Columbia, after graduating the high school. The audition was held in 2007 for the fifth season of Idol Canada and finished in the top 3. Following the show, she dropped the album she had titled Tug of War in 2008. The album became an immediate success that reached number six in the Canadian Albums Chart. Her second album Kiss in the year 2012, which resulted in the number one hit track Call Me Maybe. It became a world-wide hit, topping the charts in 18 countries and selling over 15 million copies. She has since released three more albums and have won numerous awards, including two Grammy nominations. Carly Rae jepsen has made significant sums of money through her music career.
